The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) has publicized the social grant payment dates for December. If you or someone you know is a recipient of such a grant, it is important to be aware of when to anticipate or collect these funds. Social grants such as the R350 SRD Grant, Disability Grant, and Childcare Grant will be disbursed starting from next month.
Get to know when to anticipate or collect the social grant by checking which day SASSA will pay each of them. The SASSA grant payment schedule for December has been disclosed. Older Persons (Pensioners) and Disability Grants are prioritized and paid first, followed by other social grants.
The following are the designated pay dates:
– Older Persons/ Pensioners Grant: Friday, 1st December
– Disability Grant: Monday, 4th December
– All other Grants: Tuesday, 5th December
According to SASSA, the Older Persons/Pensioners grant will be the first to be disbursed. Thereafter, Disability and other grants are scheduled to be paid on the dates 4 and 5 of December. If for any reason your grant is rejected, you may need to appeal by reaching out to the social grant agency.
Collection of the social grants can be done at participating retail stores or any Regional Offices. Alternatively, recipients can apply for their grants to be transferred into their bank accounts.
