With Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic both chasing history and locked in a thrilling duel on Sunday the heavens opened and rain caused play to be suspended until Monday.
Nadal is chasing a record 7th French Open crown and Djokovic striving to be the first man since Rod Laver in 1969 to hold all four Grand Slam Titles at the same time.
The final will resume on Monday at 13h00 local time (13h00 CAT) with Djokovic in the ascendancy and serving for a 3-1 lead in the fourth set.
