TESTIMONY: Cups of kindness display Father’s love

Pictured above with me at my favourite coffee shop in Gqeberha (PE) is a truly beautiful soul. Her name is Melissa Chavura and she waitrons at this local establishment. 

She has been such an unexpected source of friendship, kindness and generosity to both me (recovering from a nervous breakdown and major depressive episode in late 2020); as well as a friend of mine who was widowed by Covid-19 in the same year.

Most people who know me well know that my 6th love language is COFFEE! On days when I have needed a taste of Abba’s goodness and love, I have arrived at the till to pay, only to be told that Melissa has already settled my bill.

These experiences have deeply touched me as, out of the little she has, she chooses generosity and to be a conduit of the love of the Father, spoken in my personal love language.

I am reminded again and again that we are intimately known by our Pappa and He is constantly orchestrating good things and providing good gifts to us, His beloved.

Kindness and generosity cannot be repaid as they expand our souls and open our hearts to receive more and our hands to do the same.

I want to honour Melissa’s unique walk with Jesus today, as well as her “obedience” in hearing His still, small voice to “go and do the same”.
