WATCH: 3 days of fasting, prayer to heal Nelson Mandela Bay

The municipality and 700 churches in Nelson Mandela Bay are working hard together to finalise arrangements for a campaign of three days of prayer and fasting aimed at bringing unity and healing to the deeply-divided metro.

Watch the video above in which the chairman of the One People, One Vision, Heal Our Bay campaign, Pastor Neville Goldman and the deputy-chairman, Bishop Zola Moses, encourage citizens to join the campaign from Friday August 18 to Sunday August 20.

There will be a youth focus on the first day of the campaign. On the Saturday a big convoy of cars and motorbikes will stop at shopping malls throughout the metro which includes Gqeberha (PE), Kariega (Uitenhage) and Despatch. Timothy Hendriks, one of the leaders of the campaign, told Gateway News today that they are expecting from 150 to 300 motorbikes to join the convoy. He said the convoy itinerary and timetable should be finalised at a planning meeting tomorrow.

On the Sunday churches throughout the metro will minister a message of hope from Esther 4 vs 14 -16 during their morning services. They will also pray for their wards.
