The Soil, part of the star-studded line-up for the Gospel In Me relaunch concert at Gold Reef City.

What happens when leading Afro-Soul/Jazz and pop artists enter a world where only angels dare to dance to the pulsating, sacred sounds of Gospel? — Gospel in Me happens.

The brainchild of Native Rhythms Production (NRP), Gospel in Me aims to unleash the sacred side of leading SA Afro-Jazz/Soul and pop singers who truly believe the Word but are not associated with Gospel music.

NRP and partners are relaunching Gospel in Me at the Lyric Theatre at Gold Reef City on Friday, March 11, following three successful concerts and live broadcasts of the concerts on SABC channels in 2012 and 2013.

This year’s lineup includes the likes of The Soil, Tribute ‘Birdie’ Mboweni, Zikhona Sodlaka, Beyond Vocal, Jobie Clarke, Weza, Chris Mapane and latest addition, Christina Keet who is hailed by industry leaders as the next big voice in Pop/Country. The show will be hosted by popular Gospel comedian Kedibone Mulaudzi.
