Mark Gungor of “Laugh Your Way To A Better Marriage” fame will be presenting his hilarious but hard-hitting marriage seminar at River Ministries, East London on Friday June 10 and Saturday June 11, and at the Word of Faith Christian Centre, Port Elizabeth on Friday June 24 and Saturday June 25.
Pastor, motivational speaker, musician and writer, Gungor is one of the top marriage speakers in the United States, with thousands of couples attending his seminars each month. He is well known in South Africa to many who have viewed his seminar on DVD.
Gungor has positively impacted many relationships with his unique, hilarious, practical and no-holds-barred advice. In his seminar he explores the underlying dynamics of male/female relationships, combining striking clarity and practical solutions to common relationship woes.
“Our secular culture over-romanticizes marriage and our Christian culture over-spiritualizes it,” says Gungor. “The reality is that relationships between men and women are very down-to-earth.
In the Friday evening sessions (7pm to 10pm), “The Tale of Two Brains,” Gungor will break down the walls by making couples laugh about the differences between men and women, emphasizing how marital difficulties can be the result not of a heart problem, but a head problem.
The Saturday sessions (from 9am to 12 noon) kick of with a session called “The No. 1 Key to Incredible Sex.” In it, Gungor will discuss how the sexual messages of our culture are fundamentally flawed at best and destructive at worst, and suggest steps couples can take to achieving a spectacular and healthy sex life.
Saturday’s final sessions, “Why Does He/She Do That!?” and “How to Stay Married and Not Kill Anybody,” are hilarious explorations of marital dynamics meant to inspire couples to convert understanding into action.
Tickets for the seminar cost R100 per person and can be purchased from Word of Faith Christian Centre at 041 399 4400 and River Ministries at 043 711 4800 (or online) http://www.rivercorp.co.za/events.asp).
