Pray for the peace Of Jerusalem

In the Book of Psalms, the Word of God tells us clearly in Psalm 122:6 (NKJV), “Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: “May they prosper who love you.”

It is very concerning to hear the way in which the world’s hate for the Jews is mounting.  We need to pray for Israel, we need to pray for all of the people who live in Israel. We cannot turn a blind eye to what is happening in the Middle East because it concerns us as believers.  Unless man is reconciled to God, there will never ever be peace. Jesus says very clearly in John 16:33 (NKJV), “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will[a] have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”

We need to stand up and be counted. We cannot sit on the fence. They say the road to hell is paved with good intentions. We cannot say tomorrow. Today is the day that we need to pray for the people of Israel.  The old saying, “In order for evil to abound, all that good people need to do is nothing” is so true.  We will have to give an account of everything we do and everything we do not do, when we get to Heaven one day. When God challenged Cain and asked him where his brother Abel was. Cain answered God and said: “Am I my brother’s keeper.” Well the answer to that question is very simple, yes.  We are our brother’s keeper and who are our brothers? Our fellowmen.

We have a responsibility to pray for them and most of all, to lead them to Jesus Christ through love. Jesus said a man must be born again. We need to start to preach the unadulterated Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Lord says in Romans 10:13, “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” And that whoever, means whoever. Jesus spoke with all men. The woman at the well was a Samaritan. Jesus spoke about the Good Samaritan that took care of the man who had been robbed on the roadside.

Every man needs to hear the Gospel and nobody deserves to hear the Gospel twice before the world has heard it once. We as believers need to get into our prayer closets, we need to pray for the peace of Israel and then we need to exercise our faith. Remember faith has got feet, it is a doing word.  We need to get out there and tell people what it means to be born again. May God bless you as you get involved in what God is doing in and through all this tragedy that is taking place in these last days on earth.

  1. It is so refreshing to hear God’s word on this subject, for true peace (of Jerusalem or anywhere else)comes through Jesus, the Prince of Peace.
