During each day of a 21-day fast for the local government elections the Holy Spirit gave her prophetic decrees to release over the nation, said Janet Brann Hollis of SA Back to God which called the time of prayer and fasting.
She said that in this way they heeded a recent prophetic word by Prophetess Jane Hamon of the US that it was time to make decrees over SA in line with agreed prayer points.
She said that each morning of the 21 days the SA Back to God team would go live on Facebook video and pray with online intercessors.
“In the first few days, we had approximately 20 online prayer warriors standing for Kingdom release over these elections. Participants and those who viewed the broadcast later reached over 1 000 in total,” she said.
She said that through the days of praying and fasting she encouraged intercessors that “this was a new day of victory for South Africa”. She said this statement soon caught on and many people would repeat it daily.
“Many leaders, pastors, and politicians participated daily as the prayers gained traction.,” said Janet.

She said she would continue to pray on Wednesday mornings with watchman of the nation “until we witness the changing of the guard in SA politics”.
She said that God’s favour and blessing on the prayer and fasting assignment had been tangible. “God wants SA for himself, and He will have it — through faithful prayer and the many spheres of Kingdom governance working together,” she said.
The prayer points and prophetic decrees during the 21 days were:
