Prophetic word from the Lord, for the year 2019 / Hebrew year 5779
22 That night Jacob got up and took his two wives, his two female servants and his eleven sons and crossed the ford of the Jabbok. 23 After he had sent them across the stream, he sent over all his possessions.24 So Jacob was left alone, and a man wrestled with him till daybreak.25 When the man saw that he could not overpower him, he touched the socket of Jacob’s hip so that his hip was wrenched (put out of joint) as he wrestled with the man. 26 Then the man said, “Let me go, for it is daybreak.”
But Jacob replied, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.” 27 The man asked him, “What is your name?” “Jacob,” he answered. 28 Then the man said, “Your name will no longer be Jacob, but Israel, because you have wrestled with God and with humans and have overcome.” 29 Jacob said, “Please tell me your name.” But he replied, “Why do you ask my name?” Then he blessed him there. 30 So Jacob called the place Peniel, saying, “It is because I saw God face to face, and yet my life was spared.”
31 The sun rose above him as he passed Peniel, and he was limping because of his hip. 32 Therefore to this day the Israelites do not eat the tendon attached to the socket of the hip, because the socket of Jacob’s hip was touched near the tendon. — Genesis 32:22-32
You are the partakers of the blessing of Abraham, of Isaac and of Israel
“South Africa I have given you the blessing of my servant Abraham, as the engrafted branch, my adopted sons of promise. I have birthed my will in you, I have sealed my covenant which I made with Abraham and Isaac and I have given you life, even as I said I would,” says the Lord.
“I have straightened you up; I have removed the names of the Baals from your lips. I have removed a heart of stone from you, and I have given you a heart of flesh. I have shaped your character, and I have released my thundering voice through you, My voice that will reshape nations for my glory. And I continue to do this, until the time you enter final glory. But now I want you to embrace the new name that I have given you.”
“You shall no longer be called Jacob, but you shall be called Israel. Because you have wrestled with God and with men, and you have overcome, you have won, you have prevailed. You shall be fruitful and you shall multiply. A nation and a company of nations shall come out of you, and kings shall come out of your loins. Embrace your new name, because I am doing a new thing in you. You are not replacing my firstborn son, Israel, who carried my redemptive plan and purpose in his loins. You are not replacing the stem of Jesse, and the root of David, but you are partaking from the blessing, as my adopted sons, the engrafted branch. The fullness of the blessing of Israel is yours. Many will not understand this, because they do not understand their worth as adopted sons. They do not know that the adopted son has the same rights in the inheritance of His Father, as the birth sons. Many of my people do not know that I love them, the same way as I love my firstborn son.” — Ephesians 2:19, Ephesians 3:6, Romans 11:17-24, John 1:12-13, Ephesians 1:5, Romans 8:15-16, 2 Samuel 7:14, Romans 9:4
The revelation of the new name Israel
Nations will see your righteousness and all kings, your glory. You will be given a new name that the LORD’s mouth will announce. — Isaiah 62:2
Before and during the time I began the adoption process for my son Israel with Abba Adoptions, I had planned to give my son the name Samuel.
This is the name I had in my heart over the years, because of the journey I had gone through with the Lord. Even my sisters in Christ and my colleagues at my former workplace, knew that my son would be called Samuel.
However, the minute the adoption process began, and when Abba Adoptions asked what would the name of my son be, without even thinking, I responded: “Israel will be his name”. This answer even surprised even me. When I got home, I was pondering on this and wondering why I had said it.
After my son’s arrival, the Lord began to reveal the reasons for this name. Event after event, he gave me confirmation of what he was doing and saying through my son’s name and life.
The Lord said to me: “I am birthing Israel in your life.” I started declaring this word in Genesis 32:28 over my son and over our family.
However, the Lord soon made it clear that this word was not just for my family but also for the nation.
The Lord said: “I am birthing Israel in South Africa.”
The Lord later confirmed this word through a prophetic message by Shawn Bolz for South Africa, which was released at the CAP 2018 Conference in Miami, Florida, where he says, he felt the Lord say: “I am birthing Israel over South Africa, and there would be an Israel in South Africa.”
Many other names have been given to you, over the years, but……
“Many other names have been given you over the years. Because of who you used to be, but take heart, I have now bestowed a new name upon you.”
“Not only will you be called Israel, but you will also be called ‘My delight’; because I delight in you, South Africa, you are my bride. I laid down My life for you, and I carried your sin upon the cross, I died for you, was buried and I rose up again on the third day, rising with you, declaring you free from bondage, free from slavery, free from turmoil, from strife, from blood-guiltiness, from hatred and division, free from pride and rebellion. I paid all your debts in full, and I would do it all over again, if it were required. However, it is done. It is finished, in My name.”
“The blessing that I am giving you now, will not be through cheating, scheming, swindling, deceiving, or striving with your brother in order to get it. It will not be through corruption, tricking, oppressing or murdering others, (Genesis 25:22 Genesis 25:31-34), but the blessing that I am releasing to you now is purely because of My finished work on the cross. It comes straight from My throne of grace, from My hand, it is clean, it is complete, it is sure, and it adds no sorrow with it. I have announced it. I have released it”
Your hip I will heal and you shall worship me
As I was preparing this message, I had a vision where I saw many children of God gathered in the house of the Lord. Many were clothed in white garments, and books were opened and each one was called by his/her name. Each one would stand up and would sing a song of worship, as the names were being called. (Malachi 3:16-18)
Among those who were wearing the white garments, I saw some were limping, as they stood up to sing a song of worship unto the Lord. On their hip bone there was dislocation of the joints. And this vision puzzled me.
I looked again, but I saw them sing and dance, even with their hip bones misaligned. And I asked the Lord what it meant. And the Lord said: “You have wrestled with me as I performed the heart operation in you, to transform your heart to be like mine, hence you got injured. You have also wrestled with me in prayer, and have refused that I leave you without blessing you, and I have now released my blessing upon you. Be of good cheer, times of wrestling are over. The walls of hostility I have brought down and shuttered them. Even though I have injured you, I am now going to heal and restore you. Even though I have thrown your hip out of joint, (Genesis 32:25) I am now going to bring divine alignment in you.”
“Come, and let us return to the Lord, for He has torn us, but He will heal us. He has stricken us, but He will bind us up again. After two days He will revive us (quicken us, give us life); on the third day He will raise us up that we may live before Him. Yes, let us know (recognise, be acquainted with, and understand) Him; let us be zealous to know the Lord (to appreciate, give heed to, and cherish Him). His going forth is prepared and certain as the dawn, and He will come to us as the heavy rain, as the latter rain that waters the earth.” — Hosea 6:1-3
“Many of My children in this nation have prayed fervently and faithfully, without ceasing, even in the midst of trials and turmoil. They have laid down their lives for the sake of My Kingdom. Therefore, do not be surprised when I give the new name and the white garments to the limping ones. It is because of their faith undeterred and unwavering. It is because of their zeal for my name, in spite of the discomfort. They have chosen what pleases me. This is the remnant that shall rise up and sing a song of worship to me. These are they, whom I will entrust with more. This is they that I will use to rebuild this nation. I know them each by name.”
I have made you the gate of heaven
“You shall be able to recognise my presence, to dwell and remain in me. To seek me for every step and every decision that you need to make. I am overshadowing you with My Spirit, with my glory. I have made you a spiritual house, my holy habitation, and you shall be none other than a house of God, but you shall be a gate of heaven, because I have come to this place. I am in this place.” — Genesis 28:10-22
“You prayer life will change from striving to attentive listening, to hearing, and to obeying my voice. Your heart shall beat as one with my heart, and you shall pray what’s in my heart. You shall worship me in spirit and in truth; in holiness and in one accord. The sweet smelling aroma that will rise out of you, will not be your own scent, but it will be the scent of my blood that I shared for you upon the cross. It will be what came out of the pressing and the tears that you went through, as I extended my grace upon you. My intimacy with you will bring about an acceptable aroma before My nostrils.”
“You are my covenant box, where My Spirit dwells. Where My Spirit dwells, is where I will raise up Kings after My own heart. I am raising a David, and I am raising Davids among you, who will do what is right before me. Who will shepherd my people in righteousness and justice, who will lay down their own lives for the flock. I am also blessing David’s sons, his successors, his offspring, with great wisdom and insight that surpasses that of Solomon.
“After that I will entrust wealth in their hands. Together they will rebuild the ancient ruins, and will raise up the age-old foundations. They will take care of the widows, the poor and the orphans. They will take care of the priest and the sojourner. They will be called repairer of broken walls, restorer of streets with dwellings” (Isaiah 58.12)
“This blessing will not be for you only. But you will bring hope and change to the whole continent, to the nations of the earth. This is the revival I spoke about. Embrace this. Pray it into being, see it fulfilled, speedily.”
You shall go out with joy, and be led forth in peace
“Even as Jacob was in a quest to make peace with his estranged brother Esau, during the time when he found himself wrestling with God, the Lord says: ‘I have seen your efforts, in trying to bring peace in this nation. I can see your fear now, that your brother would want to get even with you, because of how you have cheated him, again and again, but take heart, I have already intervened. Continue to seek peace and pursue her. For, peace shall flow like a river within your walls.’
“ ‘I invite you all to cleft, all you who are thirsty (Isaiah 55). Come and drink from me, quench your thirst, drown away your fears.’ “
For as the rain and the snow come down from heaven, and do not return to it without watering the earth and making it bud and flourish, so that it yields seed for the sower and bread for the eater, so is my word that goes out from my mouth, it will not return to me empty, but it will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it. You shall go out with joy, and be led forth with peace” the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Instead of the thorn bush will grow the juniper, and instead of the briers the myrtle will grow. This will be for the Lord’s renown, for an everlasting sign, that will endure forever. — Isaiah 55: 10-13
