‘Stop killing babies’, says #Hope4SA on abortion law anniversary

Rooies Strauss deputy president servant leader of #Hope4SA, second from right, leads an anti-abortion demonstration in his studio in Groblershoop, Northern Cape today

The equivalent of 45.8 tanker trucks of the blood of unborn babies have been poured out in South Africa over the 27 years since abortion on demand was legalised in the nation, said new political party #Hope4SA in a media statement today.

“The fateful decision to legalize abortion was cast on 29 October 1996, with both the Democratic Alliance (DA) and the African National Congress (ANC) lending their support. Subsequently, on 01 February 1997, the nation witnessed the commencement of legalized abortion, marking a pivotal moment in our country’s history,” says the statement.

The party, which was launched in Bloemfontein earlier this year with a vision of taking biblical values to Parliament, also released a video clip [see below] of its deputy president servant leader Rooies Strauss speaking against abortion during a demonstration in his studio in Groblershoop in the Northern Cape.

“We call upon the public to rise and make a conscious choice. It is time to redirect our trajectory and support a Christian Party that aligns with our core beliefs,” says the statement.

  1. The ACDP has opposed abortion on demand ever since the Termination of Pregnancy Bill was published for comment. I know because I was involved in opposing the push to legalise abortion on demand.
The ACDP also stands for godly governance and Biblical Christian principles, so I don’t understand why a new Christian party has been started, unless to divert support from the ACDP, which has a proven track record and has “punched above its weight” in the various spheres of governance. The ACDP isn’t perfect, and there will never be a perfect party, but it is the party that has persevered against the odds, including dealing with ANC “moles”, others who have had a hidden agenda, while others tried to split the Christian vote and have maligned the party.
South Africa also has had an increasing proliferation of political parties – it has become absurd.
