“For years already God’s men have been enjoying gathering at the Karoo Mighty Men Conference,” says Sonja Spies, coordinator of the first God’s Karoo Women Willowmore Conference on November 7 and 8, 2015.
“We are swelled with excitement about this coming event. We trust the Lord for a blessed woman’s gathering on 7 and 8 November 2015 at Willowmore,” she says in an invitation to the open air event which will be held under a large canopy at the Willowmore Showgrounds.
“For some time already the need was expressed for a women’s fellowship and own ‘mighty women’ conference. Well, we prayed about the matter and by God’s grace alone, doors opened for us. In obedience we grabbed the grace and started organising God’s Karoo Women Willowmore Conference,” she says.
Women are welcome to start arriving from Friday, November 6. Speakers include Danie Botha and Linda Prinsloo and worship will be led by Arno Ferreira and Sons. Registration costs R200 per person and includes all meals on November 7 and 8 as well as tea and coffee during breaks. Available seating will include chairs, a pavilion and hay, and women may also bring their own camp chairs. They should also bring their own cutlery, mug and plate.
Women are responsible for making their own accommodation arrangements. Free accommodation options include space in the Show Hall which has ablution facilities. Women who make use of this facility should bring their own mattresses. There are also camping and guesthouse and private hoyse options in the area.
