‘Flying In Recovery‘ author and radio presenter Helen Phillips is running her next divorce recovery course at CCFm Radio Station in Muizenberg, Cape Town, starting on Saturday, March 2, from 09h30 to 12h30.
There were some ‘wonderful healings’ on the last course, says Phillips, who says she is repeating the four weeks programme at the request of past participants.
“One lady could not raise her eyes when she arrived and only came when supported by her sister. After four weeks on the course she was vibrant and positive and had even started her own business. Another lady from Port Elizabeth says that she was sure God brought her to Cape Town just to get the healing she received. One man even drove from Atlantis to Muizenberg to get his healing.”
She says that any past course participants who still need help are welcome to attend the second course free of charge. “I am here to ensure people get healed God’s way which is the only way. We cover everyone and every session in prayer that God will be present in His healing power,” she says.

There is a workbook that each person has to do for ‘homework’ and this allows participants to explore their own path and progress to healing at their own pace.
The subjects that are covered are ‘Dealing with your pain’, ‘Rebuilding your self esteem’, ‘Forgiveness God’s way,’ ‘Breaking soul ties,’ ‘Children of divorce’ and ‘Finding God’s will for your life’.
The sharing and interaction between students, and counselling from Helen are important aspects in this course and bonds of friendship and ongoing support are created.

Phillips is also working on another book — ‘Flying Free; How to Reach your Full Potential’ which she says will result in another course later in the year.
Wonderful. There is such a need for something like this. So many people are lost and hurting because of divorce and so many find Christ during the recovery process. I did and it saved me.
