God’s first responder — Lindy-Ann Hopley

Imagine a boiling hot Florida day, the traffic on the highway is racing by at high speed. Suddenly red break lights get slammed on everywhere across the lanes!

In a matter of seconds a blue car comes into view. It has crashed into the middle concrete divider. Smoke pouring out from under the hood.

Then I spotted her. As you focus in on this photo will see her too — next to the tyre.

A lady lying face down on the highway.
A moment of crisis.

My name is Lindy-Ann. I am a nobody, who knows somebody who saved my soul. Now daily I seek to see His Kingdom come on earth as it is in heaven. As you seek you find. And sometimes it finds you.

This was one of those moments where it found me.

Immediately I shouted : “Pull over”
Because I know the answer to any crisis – JESUS.

I jumped out of the car bolting straight to the woman. I was the first to reach her. There was someone yelling on the phone for the cops to come and at the same time trying to signal me to not touch her.

She was face down on the tar.
He didn’t know that I was loaded.
Loaded with love from above.

I put my hand on her and said the Name of the One who saves : “Jesus!”
Then I said it again.
And again.
And again.

At first she was weeping in shock and didn’t seem to be able to get up. Then as I prayed I knew she encountered peace and possibly healing. I helped her get up and away from her car in case it caught fire.

As I walked her to another car to sit I prayed all the way out loud.
She was ok.
She was bruised from the airbag and was in shock.
But God.

I asked ther the most important question of all:
“Do you know Jesus? Are you born-again?”

She was.

I said : “Girl you are saved! Even your lashes are still looking perfect! Devil is afraid of you, but God saved you!”

As I prayed she calmed down, she started to smile and asked if I could stay till the police came.

I made sure she knew that God saved her for such a time as this and that she needs to follow Him full-heartedly.

Today, where are you in your walk with God?

“Call upon the Name of the Lord and be saved”, Scripture says. Scripture is truth and it works!

If you are in a 911 situation, whether it is in your marriage, your family, your business, your finances, your ministry or your heart, call out to God. He is ready to answer!

All of heaven is waiting for your call to serve the saints. That’s you!

Don’t hesitate to call on God AND be called by God to be His hands and feet!

When the world shouts “Keep your distance!” remember God didn’t when He sent Jesus and Jesus expects us to do the same!

Go into ALL the world, proclaim the Gospel and lay hands on the sick!

Father, I pray for boldness to call on Your Name today for whatever situation we are facing or those around us! That we won’t hide our lamps under a basket, but instead shine brightly for all to see, as your Word says. May we respond as heaven’s ambassadors bringing Your Kingdom on earth as it is in heaven! You are the answer and we are the bringers of good news to all! Let us be Your first responders in every situation, Lord Jesus. Bringing glory to Your Name! Amen and Amen.

Love & Fire,
Lindy-Ann Hopley
