Jesus take the wheel SA series  Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4 Week 5 Week 6

Julita Kok is once again handing the steering wheel over to Jesus — this time on a road trip with God through Namibia. Read Episode 7 of her weekly reports here.

I am writing to you from the very beautiful Omaruru district. I am on a game farm of a third generation German couple and nature here simply takes my breath away.

Before I came to Namibia, God shared some things with me concerning Namibia. One of the things He showed me was that Namibia is an ancient well that needs to be opened up. When I asked Him what that means in this day, He told me about the actual springs that HE will open up in Namibia. Clean, clear spring water that will start flowing. And as this happens, the people of Namibia will come into their rightful inheritance and take their place among the nations as the Christ believers of Namibia are the ancient well. The people will become a spring of living water who will feed the nations the Gospel of good news. As the nations come to buy in the physical, they will also receive the living waters from the people here in Namibia. All these connections I am making and more, walking on the Holy Highway as per Isaiah 35.

God is opening up the wells

Over the past two days, I was taken to places where such fountains have suddenly appeared and clear and fresh water is just pouring from the earth. No man is involved. God is opening up the wells. And HE is busy restoring the people as well.

One of the God moments of my trip was in the Kamanjab area. I was asked to visit a farmer who is in total depression because of the drought situation. He has lost nearly all his livestock and has not received any rain for the past few years. No more cash is available and he is at a place of feeling that God has forsaken him. Of course that is not the truth. So. after I arrived on his farm, on a extremely hot day, we sat down and I started telling him to “be still and know that I am God”. Within five minutes of my being there, I heard a very loud noise on the roof. We went outside and here was this very huge, dark cloud over his house and yard and it was pouring down with rain.

We both knew that God was in the place. It was so surreal, nobody could deny that something supernatural was taking place. God came and with this downpour of rain only over his house and yard, showed this farmer that He certainly knows about him. It was very, very cool.

And so I am now travelling towards Windhoek. I have finally turned around again and started heading South. I have travelled 6 800km and still have a few weeks ahead. God has been doing amazing things amongs the people and the rain is still following me. I have no words to describe this. Namibia is growing on me. I have no fear for the dirt roads anymore. Only respect. I love the fact that all the farms are teaming with gemsbok, springbok, rooibok, zebra, giraffes and lots of smaller buck. It is a natural phenomena and is just part of life here. You travel along a toad and you keep on seeing all these animals. Amazing. And after the rains, the landscapes are simply magnificent. The grass is standing tall and proud.

So, I am seeing that which God showed me in the Spirit while I was still in South Africa, coming into fulfilment right here. And it just makes me stand in awe of Him more and more. I am being spoiled by the Holy Spirit and not sure how I can go back to my “normal” life after this. We will have to see.

But for now, I just want to leave you with this beautiful Scripture that says : But now thus saith the Lord that created thee, O Jacob, and he that formed thee, O Israel, Fear not: for I have redeemed thee, I have called thee by thy name; thou art mine. — Isaiah 43:1 KJV

How safe we are!!!

The grass is standing tall and proud
