TAMELA MANN: BEST DAYS DELUXE EDITION

I have to admit that a good movie under a warm blanket with a cup of Chai Tea is just the thing to make me almost like a week of winter… I recently watched Madea’s Big Happy Family and have to admit that I had a good laugh!

In the credits right at the beginning, I saw the name of a lady that had been singing in my car for a few days and this grabbed my attention.

Let me introduce you to Tamela Mann and her latest release Best Days:Deluxe Edition. This album is the third studio recording done by this dynamic lady and was released in the United States by her own record label, Tillyman Music Group. The response to this album was so overwhelming with a number fourteen debut on the US Billboard and a chart topper on the Top Gospel Albums charts. The success of the first production has lead them to releasing the Deluxe Edition on the 29th of October 2013 and brought to us here in South Africa by Maranatha.

She was surrounded by a great team with production handled by Myron Butler and Kirk Franklin. These two gentlemen were also responsible for bringing two of the powerful songs namely “Best days” and “Take me to the King”. You will also find some familiar songs we have come to know and love like “I can only imagine”. Her portrayal of this beautiful song will truly move your heart. “I Can Only Imagine’ is the ultimate worship song,” said Tamela. “Every time I sing that song, I feel the presence of God take over the room. It’s the perfect addition to the Best Days Deluxe Edition.”

There is so much more to this lady than meets the eye and while I was reading up on her, I discovered a 21:31 minute video on youtube telling the story of the 25th year wedding anniversary she celebrated with her husband David Mann. When they got married in 1988 they didn’t have enough money for a wedding and Tamela had to borrow a ring. They had the very special opportunity of planning and living out their dream wedding 25 years later with their ‘grandbabies’ being part of the ceremony! What a beautiful celebration of love. If you want to have a peek at the heart behind this lady, do spend a few minutes and check it out!

My life as a worshipper has been enriched by being introduced to this lady, but more than her, her life and family.

Let the worshipper in you arise!
